Drawings

After a product has been developed, the story has to be told to different internal and external constituents. Engineering drawings help articulate what's important about the design. Be it for molds, tooling, or other manufacturing needs, we can produce them to your corporate or governing standards.

For new products, drawings can be produced from the CAD models. For older designs that may be from older CAD systems or hand drawn, drawings can be scanned, recreated in CAD, or a combination of methods. Often times a PDF is desired which can be electronically communicated. We can assist with new creation or conversion of older drawings, for literature, customer service, or engineering/manufacturing.

Specifications

Literature, product specs and web sites all provide a wealth of information about products. Most of this originates from the engineering of the product, and the engineering departments. They get it from their CAD system, lab tests, and outside vendors. But all of it has to be brought together before the product is launched. This can be a time consuming and resource-depleting task. We can assist in the preparation of the information in many different formats for the web and in print using many different tools: MS Word, PDF, Flash video, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, DVD, and others.

Reporting

During development, products are tested over and over. Good R&D requires the results to be reported to others and stored for future retrieval. We have a wealth of experience in writing reports from the many tests we have conducted for clients. Whatever the test or evaluation may be, we have the experience and skill to prepare reports for your corporate needs.

Animation

Most of the time a picture is better than words and a video is better than a picture. Animation can be video generated from moving CAD models, which help tell the story of how something is assembled, or serviced. Or it may be a video of the features and benefits of a new product for the sales and marketing group. There are many different and valuable uses for animating a product in 3D even before a prototype is produced. Early feedback from customers and investors can be obtained, and can be vital to many new product development programs.

Video & Photo

Digital photos and video have become commonplace for documenting human-product interaction, mechanical evaluation of products, documentation of test results, production of marketing content, and many other uses. We have years of experience using these powerful digital tools to help companies large and small research people, products, and performance. We can digitally edit footage and images as needed for a variety of different projects.
