Watch Those Carbs

A technological forerunner in the vending industry, Vendor’s Exchange Global Vending approached us to design a housing for their innovative MIND (Make Informed Nutritional Decisions) display screen. Pending legislation would make it mandatory to disclose all nutritional facts for products sold within retail food establishments and vending machines, and in an effort to comply, the MIND screen would allow users to browse through the nutritional facts of various products. Understanding that the company was high in innovation but still developing their own aesthetic, they relied on our industrial design capabilities to start them on the right path.

A variety of different concepts were created so that the client could make a final design decision before moving on to CAD. Numerous characteristics were explored, ranging from aesthetics to possible mounting configurations, manufacturing options and functionalities. Always striving to exceed expectations, we created additional concepts well beyond the initial scope. After meeting with the client to present our ideas, a direction was chosen to take further and refine in CAD.
